IRAQ
Many people question the US's involvement in Iraq, but we played a crucial role in there country. Although the US has withdrawn we still must carry out important security functions and control over there. The US currently helps in four major areas. One being the development of the military and police of Iraq. We also are helping them build a defense system. Another assistance we provide is the restoration of there government.

In 1947, a British mandate over control of Palestine was set to expire. The United nations comes up with a plan to create a Jewish and Arab state. This will be later known as Israel. On May 14th, 1948 Israel becomes independent. Immediately after, due to Israels Jewish influence, the surrounding Arab states invaded. These surrounding nations included Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. These nations launched a full out war against the new undermanned nation of Israel. They managed to hold off and actually expanded their territory. There was later an embargo placed on them forbidding trade.
In the recent years, a terrorist group has arised known as Al-Qaeda.
